Shadow Electronic Exhaust Valve Controller II-ORIGINAL
The new generation of high-performance vehicles boasts exceptional combustion efficiency and power. However, high-speed cruising and intense driving often come with issues such as excessive exhaust temperatures and engine cooling challenges.
The Shadow Electronic Exhaust Valve Controller II-ORIGINAL can directly connect to the stock valve and offers four operating modes: ON, OFF, AUTO, and ORIGINAL Mode (for vehicles equipped with factory valves). It is perfectly compatible and operates seamlessly, whether the vehicle is equipped with a factory sports exhaust system or not.
Exhaust Valve Full Replacement Control
Designed for vehicles equipped with electronic exhaust valves from manufacturers such as BENZ, BMW, VAG (Audi, Volkswagen), Porsche, and others, the Shadow Electronic Exhaust Valve Controller II-ORIGINAL can replace the factory system. It enables synchronized control of single and dual valves, offering a seamless upgrade without compromising the vehicle's operation. While retaining the original hardware, it allows users to instantly and effortlessly control exhaust sound dynamics at their command.
Compared to controllers that use analog signals, the Shadow Electronic Exhaust Valve Controller II-ORIGINAL features a 32-bit MCU processor and Bluetooth 4.2 chip, utilizing pulse transmission technology. This ensures faster and more precise signal control while effectively preventing interference from surge noise.
Shadow Electronic Exhaust Valve Controller II-ORIGINAL Installation Benefits
Modes can be switched directly via the control box, mobile device, or remote control.
Auto Mode: Superior to Factory Sports Exhaust Systems (Compatible with CANBUS Vehicles)
For high-performance models like Benz AMG, BMW M, Audi RS, and Volkswagen R series, factory electronic exhaust valves often lack a dedicated switch for manual control. Typically, the valves are linked to driving modes such as Sport+ or Race, making it difficult to manage the timing and degree of valve operation.
The Shadow Electronic Exhaust Valve Controller II-ORIGINAL, through its companion app, allows users to customize valve opening conditions and timing. This enables precise control, such as maintaining exhaust backpressure during low boost, low RPM, and low speed to retain low-end torque and reduce noise. When preset conditions are met, the valve automatically opens, optimizing exhaust flow during high boost, high RPM, and high speed, resulting in enhanced performance and improved heat dissipation.
- *Auto Mode* includes a default roar feature, where the valve briefly opens and closes for dramatic sound effects.
- By connecting to the vehicle's ECU via OBD2, users can set automatic valve operation according to their preferences.

Manual Mode
No restrictions—users can freely switch between ON and OFF using the app, remote control, or control box.
Anti-Interference Module for Stable Connectivity
To ensure drivers can focus on the road, the design retains a dedicated remote control with an innovative structure combining different materials. It integrates an aluminum alloy frame with silicone buttons for a premium, tactile feel. This not only visualizes valve operation but also enhances the overall product quality.
- *The status and operation mode of the valve can be identified via the color of the main unit's indicator light.*

Factory Dual-Valve Configuration Vehicles: Recommended Installation of Deactivators to Avoid Error Lights
High-performance models such as **BENZ** (C63, E63, G63, AMG GTS), **PORSCHE** (Cayenne E3, Macan S), **AUDI** (RS3, RS4, RS6, RSQ3, RSQ8), and **BMW** (F87 M2, G80/G81 M3) are equipped with a dual-valve exhaust configuration from the factory.
As illustrated below, for vehicles with factory dual-valve setups, we provide a **splitter harness** that allows the controller to output directly to both valves. However, the unused factory connector (Connection B) must be equipped with a **unidirectional valve deactivator** to prevent error codes from appearing, which could negatively impact engine performance.
- *Deactivator configurations vary depending on the brand and model of the vehicle.*

For vehicles from manufacturers like BENZ, BMW, Audi, and others that have electronic exhaust valves, if the malfunction indicator light comes on due to a fault in the electronic exhaust valve or a loose plug connection, the Engine Control Unit (ECU) will detect a hardware anomaly. In mild cases, the malfunction indicator light will stay illuminated constantly, and in severe cases, the engine may go into a protective mode, preventing normal driving.
